Why is my furnace blowing cold air?
Common causes are a dirty flame sensor, a failed igniter, a tripped limit switch or a clogged filter. We diagnose it and give you a flat-rate price before any repair.
Why does my furnace keep turning on and off?
Short cycling usually means overheating, a blocked filter or vent, or a failing pressure switch. It wastes gas and wears parts, so it's worth fixing early.
Is a furnace noise dangerous?
A loud bang at start-up can mean delayed ignition and should be checked soon. Squeals and rattles are usually blower or motor wear.
Should I repair or replace my furnace?
Under about 15 years old with a minor fault, repair usually makes sense. If it's older and needs a major part, a new high-efficiency furnace can cost less over time. We quote both.
How long do furnaces last?
Typically 15 to 20 years. Older mid-efficiency furnaces waste far more gas than today's high-efficiency models.
